    Bone meal???????

    When I cook eggs, I keep all my eggshells and crush them up and give them back to my hens--I have never had a problem with thin eggshells. My family has been doing this for many years. Hope this works for you.

    If the injury is from the roosters, you can burn their claws and spurs down so they don't "dig in" to the hens so badly.

    I use Neosporin on mine. I checked with my vet and he said that was about the best I could do for a chicken. I also give vitamins and electrolites like another person said. Good luck!

    Back Yard Cows--what a great idea! The last one we had acted more like a huge dog than a cow (steer, to be specific). What about Back Yard Pigs? I have had pet pigs, too. I had one last year that untied my shoes evey time I went into her pen. I believe its all in how you treat the animals...
