    Help! baby chicks sneezing?

I ordered them from Ideal Hatchery, It took them about three days to get here (I was scared because it took so long they would all be dead but they were doing fine when they arrived) It may be a ventilation problem? We got a fan a turned on so it would occasionally suck air out to increase the...

How to Make a Cornish Cross Live Longer? As a Pet?

Thank you so much! Should I restrict his food even as a small chick? They are only about a week old right now, will restricting the food at a young age hurt him? And if so, at what age should I start cutting it back?

How to Make a Cornish Cross Live Longer? As a Pet?

I got a batch of 25 cornish cross chicks to show at a broiler show. However, I have gotten extremely attached to a runt I have named Freddy ( I know I shouldn't have named him...) I know that cornish crosses don't tend to have long life spans because they have heart attacks and body weight...

Cornish Cross Runt? Or Different Breed?

I assume so, they all look the exact same except for Freddy. The school ordered them for us, but they are broilers that are supposed to get to butcher size by 6 weeks. The only breed that I know of that grows that fast is the cornish cross. I may be wrong though!

The first is the normal ones, the second is the small one. It's kinda hard to see the colors in this picture though.

Cornish cross chicks looking ragady and wet?

Okay, I just figured out the problem. I picked up their water bucket and it is completely empty! I refilled it just 3 hours ago and it must have leaked completely out into the wood shavings. I just pulled out all of the shavings and cleaned it all out completely. Lets see how they look tomorrow...

Cornish cross chicks looking ragady and wet?

Okay, I just put in new bedding on top of the old stuff, its kinda late so I will completely re-clean everything out tomorrow. And I'm keeping them in a small swimming pool right now, with the sides built up with cardboard. All of the people in charge of telling us how to care for them say...

Cornish Cross Runt? Or Different Breed?

I just got in a batch of 25 Cornish crosses for a broiler show I am doing for my agriculture class. I have only had them for a week, and they are all growing noticeably bigger, except one. One is about 1/3 the size of the others and still has no feathers growing in on the wings when all the...
