I can't seem to find good sharp knives for butchering. Killed a roo this a.m. and I had a terrible time getting him butchered. and my hands are not as strong anymore so difficult to break the joints too. what knives and brands do you prefer?>
I have a CE incubator and I was going to dry hatch this time. the humidity alarm keeps going off cause it is around 25 and there is no way to turn it off. Am I missing something. ?? How would I dry hatch with this problem

Generally by time other chicks have been 3 weeks old the roosters are developing little combs. This year I have arcucana for the first time and don't see any combs developing. how do I know hens from roosters?
what type of feeder do you use? My chickens seem to waste so much feed. Seems half of it ends up on the floor. There has to be a better way. I feed egg crumbles.
I have buff orpingtons.............adults and chicks. I have just gotten some Dominquers chicks and still have them in the garage. Compared to the buff chicks they are WILD. they are only 3 weeks old but just try to fly, ect. will the buffs accept them when I try to put them together?

I took the rooster out of my two flocks I was putting together and now there is peace among the hens, no fighting but they do stay separate..............one group of 5 barred rocks and a group of 6 mixed.
