Want 3 or 4 hens close to age for laying and I have several breeds in mind, one of each kind. Am thinking of a black and white one, a multi colored one with a long tail, maybe a red--pretty ones! Don't want to get my heart set on a particular breed and then not be able to find it. Any ideas...

Am hoping to find multiple breeds from which to choose in the area surrounding Houston. Can anyone suggest where I can go? My coop should be ready in the next few weeks.
