There are no state laws about minimum chick purchase. The rules come from the point of sale. They want to, not only sell more, but also want to make sure you're serious. I've bought a few at a time because I already had some at home. It's up to the seller.
These were from TS aka Hoover Hatchery. I still am not sure what they are. I do know they are definitely not a Leghorn. They lay brown eggs. I'm not disappointed. Actually I'm very happy. I'm not a chicken snob like some can be. I don't breed them so SOP is not important to me.
I think they are mixed breeds. Saying they are Easter Eggers give you hope of a possible blue egg. They resemble an either Easter Eggers or Olive Eggers (mixed breeds). The color of their egg could help.
