We got 50 day old black Australorps about about a month ago and today we opened the brooder to feed and found this. Sad chicky momma. Luckily it only got one. :-(

Got some more pics when I got home! They are SO adorable!!! They are hanging out all over the brooder, sleeping and running around. I think they like their new home!! :-)

I am definitely excited and can't wait to get home! This is our first batch of chicks, so I am over the moon!! And add to this, we get to go pick out our baby goats this weekend! Everything is coming together!! ;-)

Finally got our chicks from Mt. Healthy!! We ordered 50 Black Australorps and all made it alive and well!! They're currently exploring their new home and seem happy and healthy!! Unfortunately, I'm stuck at work, but the hubby and kids are keeping me flooded with pics and videos! :-)

It's supposed to be able to hold up to 250 chicks. We are planning doing about 150 Cornish X this year.

Here is ours so far. Hoping to get it finished tomorrow and start on the tractor!
