hi - that helps . I have 2 , as pets , 5 weeks old . One is much bigger than the other and I've been worried it's male .. I ordered them F .. it wold be a disaster if they are M&F by the hatcheries mistake ! I don't want fertilized eggs , or a hen ravaged by the M. I hope they are just growing...

no pics yet . I have some time to re purpose it , but it is typical metal stakes , about 5 feet , with hard 1/2" by 1" holes in steel wire fencing. I'll get at it soon to re size the area .. I just have no good idea on an opening , that shuts pretty tight . I guess I can overlap , and stretch ...

hi - thanks - I figured I could rig some bendable overlap & containment . any secure ways to gate a wired , no wood post , pen ? I see them as I drive around .. fenced in rectangles or squares .. I dont see the gates ??? How do you do it ?

thanks a lot . the wire fencing is strong and holes 1" x 2" , so that should be fine. If it was an all the time pen I'd be more worried . I dont know whats out there that will hear,smell,see new ducks as prey ..as it is I see no predators during the day , but a neighbor had fox attacks at noon...

all great advice , and very much appreciated .. I guess the "mess" production of 2 ducks isn't as awful as I've imagined ! I daytime is no guarantee against hungry foxes or hawks .. so I'll make the day pen with that in mind .. how trainable are the runners ? I'll be raising them as day-olds...

Hi all - I'm getting just 2 runners in April and am trying to plan for proper housing .. I have a large yard that is unfenced and opens to woods .. all the predators are around :( fox, raccoon ,coyote possum etc . I'm also on a tight budget , and not much of a carpenter type. my thought...
