Baby has an attitude, chest bumping MY hand, hatch mates, and my 120 pound Akita (Akita thinks he's the nanny) Only my cockerels have done that, so far. Also feathering out EXACTLY like every roo I've had. Stumpy butt, slowww to feather, etc. My gold laced Wyandotte pullet didn't feather...

I know it, but I'm really getting roo vibes from this one. Lol

4.5 to 5 weeks old. Meyer Hatchery extra from the "discount bin" 😂 Smooth yellow legs, some black feathers coming through on *her* chest. Very dramatic, fiesty chick. LOL

Our male Akita is almost 1 1/2...he loves ALL the chickens. Chicks and adults. He's extremely well trained, but I never expected this. I don't trust our 5 year old Akita with them. If they peck, she wants to *peck* back. Our Llewellin setter was amazing with the chickens, too.

Comb and wattles haven't grown much at all since 9/10 weeks. Dear chicken, please be obvious, one way or another.

I still get mixed guesses (from experienced chicken friends) on the lavender orpington and the black Australorp. The other chicks, 2 positive are pullets and 2 we're pretty darn sure. I think pullet on the BA
