Funny that is why we have chickens in the first place, my son loved dinosaurs when he was little even now that he is 17. So if you can not have a pet dino have chickens instead. lol
I candled ,so got rid of those eggs and they are not all the same ,but I had some hatch from all 3 breeds . but most my green eggs did not hatch and my friends buff bantams 1 hatched out out 3 ,so it is not just my eggs . VERY FRUSTRATED !!!!!
We are hatching duck eggs for the first time ,and the top of the egg as it sits in the turner if very dark on top .This just happened in the last day or so ,the eggs have been in the incubator for about 2 weeks .We did candle them and they looked good . What is this and what should we do ...
I have 2 rosters an EE and a Wyandotte I started isotating the Wyandotte from my EE girls, but how long do I have to wait till I know the eggs produced are no long Wyandotte fertilized ? He was very "active" with the girls.
Thanks for the info ,they were sold to me as Ameraucanas and I payed alot for that as well ,the new ones all look the same as my old ones , all though 4 were white when young and are slowly changing colour, other 2 are motaled brown very pretty. I am holding my breath to see what the others lay.
Got 6 baby ameraucanas hens in the spring and the first one layed today , but the egg is light beige , are the first eggs beige or she always going to lay beige; and my really worry are all 6 going to lay beige eggs. The one layed is mainly white if that counts for anything.
thanks
