I am also looking for silkies and maybe a frizzle, I am in Maryland or Pennsylvania, I would like to be able to pick them up rather than have them shipped. Thanks
I bought three one year old RIRs and when they were in their new coop, they started laying eggs immediately. They stopped laying eggs completely about three weeks ago. I have looked all over the yard, just in case. They are the only three in the coop, and they are sisters. They don't even...
I have two Rhode Island Reds, about six months old, they haven't been aggressive, yet, but they are very aloof and won't come near myself or my husband. Compared to my Buff orp., who is an angel, the RIRs are unfriendly.
The two chickens I referred to as girls, we call them Amy and Beth still. Neither has crowed at all (six months old) although they do make clucking sounds and they are afraid of the other two hens. Still think they are cockerels? TF
When I got these chicks, they looked completely different from each other. I was told that one was an Ameraucana and the other was a Rhode Island Red. Now they are identical and since you all are so good at this...what are they?
Thanks. Tricia
They look like mine and I think they are Ameraucanas, when we got them we were told that one was a Rhode Island Red and the other an Ameraucana, but now they are exactly alike. I will see if I can get a good picture, mine are skittish too. Patty
