Have 3 laying boxes for 5 chikens...of course they all lay in one. These silly girls are great at laying but they seem to hate having anything in the box to lay on (and keep eggs clean) have hay in and they all go thru it and throw it out...put weeds, herbs etc etc...they still throw everything...

I have golden comets, have had them since they were 8 weeks old and they started to lay when about 22 weeks old. Have 5, get 5 eggs a day and nearly every day 1 is a double yolker. Over the past 2 days have been getting 6 eggs??!!!

my new to egg laying girls are laying where ever they want? have 3 nesting boxes over the past week finally started getting eggs in 1 box 2 then 3 this a.m. found 3 under where they roost! of course all 3 were broken! how do I get them to lay anywhere else but off the roost or on the wire floor...

had the same problem, was chasing them down and picking them up one by one...then a super reply came through...put a light in the coop/roost area..they just went up the ramp one by one....the first night they kind of got stalled out on the top all piled up and the doorway but they all went in...
