Hey everyone,
We got 6 chicks from our IFA and our luck is awful! 2 of them are looking like roosters. Are jersey blacks decent meat birds? Since he's the biggest, I think that's the one we're going to slaughter. When do they reach a good age? They're already so much bigger than the other 4...

That's what I was afraid of =-\ we only have 6 chickens so there's no way we can have 2 roosters. We're going to have to pick who stays (if they aren't too loud and cause complaints) and who ends up in the freezer, no one around here is looking for roosters, already checked.
We got 2 blue Andalusian chicks from the local IFA and this one's comb really started developing, do I have a rooster on my hands? They were purchased on 2/6/16. We're pretty sure the jersey giant is a boy as well but hoping we didn't end up with 2 or 3 roos out of 6 chicks.
We bought 6 chicks from our local IFA and I'm concerned both our Jersey Giants and one of the Blue Andalusians could be males. We got them on Feb 16th and they were supposed to be sexed. Can anyone help us out? I may be being silly, its the first time we've had chicks.
