Thank you Eggcessive. The worms i saw were thin white things. I used wazine but will take your advice and try the other medications. Question, when you say give it "orally" is that with a syringe or is it something they can eat or drink? I really appreciate the help and am going to get poop...
I think I saw a little white worm in the diarrhea. I started them on Apple Cider Vinegar but am thinking I need to go to Wazine. Am I correct? I have two waterers, a 2 gallon and a 4 gallon. Do I fill them full and leave them or change water+wazine each day?
Thats interesting about tree sap. My dog gets similar scabs on her belly and now we are thinking it is plant related. We back up to woods and have a lot of foliage out there. I have now found a second hen who has the same thing on her chest. They both eat normal. Im not sure if they are laying...
Sorry i forgot to mention the scabs are on her breast bone. She is usually in a preadtor safe coop. Ladies dont appear to attack her. I have only noticed a few feathers in coop and i clean it daily. Thank you for your reply. It helps knowing people try to help. This site is awesome
Ive noticed some black scabs on one of my hens. I have 5 ladies. This hen tends to go off on her own when free ranging which is different in last few weeks. What do i do? Im so new at this. She is a year old and I just love her.
Hi everyone. This is the second time I have seen a weird egg like the one pictured below. Its flat on one side. I have 5 ladies and am not sure who did this. Is this normal? Thank you for any input. [/IMG]

Im in Northern VA. Newbie with the chickens. In the process of getting them a new coop. Been reading great stuff in here and have realized I probably need to build one (that is daunting for me) my ladies are currently in a rental coop.
Haha. You are so correct. It is hard to rent then return these feathered loves. I did it more so my guy would fall in love with them and get on board
We have decided 3 is enough. Kids are in college now so with just us (and 2 dogs) we are happy with our supply of eggs. I shall explore the...
