    Hi i was sure this one was a hen, but yesturday somone crowed in my coop! I have noticed she has got alot redder in the last couple of weeks also some red feathers have appeared on her back. She has no sign of spurs and acts like a hen im so confused please could anyone help? Thank you

    I'm getting a little bit worried about this little one now, she/he is getting picked on not only by my head hen and her wing commander but by all the lower younger hen's too, is this still just sorting ranks, or is it a sign its a roo? I introduced him/her to my small flock a few days ago

    Thank you so much for your replys fingers crossed for a pullet, she's just settling in at the moment , no sign of aggression on her behalf but my head hen has been putting her in her place. She has learn't quick that if she fly's on the coop my silkie cant reach her lol x
