I am tired of feeding the squirrels. I let the chickens free-range during the day but leave the run door open all day so they can get to the fod and water. The squirrels help themselves to the food. I think I want to start keeping the run closed and just feed the chickens and the AM and PM...

Finally got my coop

Thanks, I took a cockerel back and got the red one in its place but I think it is a cockerel too :( The saddle fethers are veey soft and not pointy yet but I am sure it is too young still. Time will tell :)

I am setting up my coop this weekend and it is going to be on a cement slab. Trying to think how i can have a large dirt area in there for dust bath, scratching. I was thinking of using a plastic pond and fill with dirt/ sand and then pine on top of the concrete in the other part of the run...
