    Silkie wings???

I bought both the white and buff silkie. Buff is sizzle and white is smooth. They are about 6 months old. I am wondering if the white one is starting to get streamers. She has a flat comb and stands like a hen though. Both chickens are healthy. I think the buff has a better shape than the white.

    Vent sexing

That is so upsetting. If the female turns out to be male i will be mad. Never buying from cackle hatchery again. They could offer vent sexing on all breeds. It makes no sense. I hoped for at least two females. That is why i ordered 6.

So i just sexed these ducklings and 1/6 is female!! And im not even 100% she is female. I saw a penis on 5. They didnt offer sexing on rare ducks probably because they keep the females. I'm mad. Why else sex all ducks but them. Im upset.

What type of duck is this? And what is up with his neck?

I'll try to find some brewers yeast maybe at the grocery store. My local feed store is very limited. They sold electrolytes and that was all. No duck food, just chicken. The old man working there told me chicken food was ok as long as it wasn't medicated.

What type of duck is this? And what is up with his neck?

Uff dah. Niacin deficiency? I bought them Purina start and grow because it was all I could find. I'll check if it has niacin. I have been feeding them fine chopped kale and a chopped veggie mix of carrots, corn, green beans, and peas.
