    Odd behavior.

Thank you so much for the comments, it was really weird sort of side to side motion but she stopped after a while and stayed close for a long cuddle with my mum (her favourite) She's been fibe today so we're just keeping an eye on her now.

    Odd behavior.

One of my girls has been shaking her head a lot today, not the adorable excited vibrating we usually get but more like she's got something stuck in her bill? She keeps making a sort of chewing motion too like she's eating when she's not. I've given her water and grit but she's still going... Has...

    Young duck charging us

I've got a girl who does it. She used to charge at us but whenever she did I'd pick her up and give her a cuddle as a punishment xD she loves me now and I'm the only one she lets cuddle her.

    Fully undigested food in poop?

They are still very much bright eyed and happy, it was just that one that got me worried. They're both on layer feed at the moment and they get various treats like lettuice, corn, peas and mealworms and we make sure ther's always water nearby for them. I'll see if I can get hold of some of that...

    Fully undigested food in poop?

I have two ducks that are 5 months old and one of them did a poop yesterday that really has me worried. It was the usual colour after a visit to the park (very dark brown because they spend their whole time with their beaks in the soil) but there were quite a few stones in there. It was actually...

    Duck breathing problems

I've got two white campbell babbies who will be 4 months old in under a week and one of them (Pumpkin) is breathing fast almost all the time. I've been comparing her to the other girl we have (Daisy) and she'll be breathing fast even when Daisy isn't. We've been back and forth to the vets but...

    Odd behaviour

So I've got two White Campbell babies who are both just about a week under four months and lately they've started doing something really strange. They crouch really low to the ground, stretch out their neck so it's straight and sort of flatten themselves so their back and wings are perfectly...

    First time hatching ducklings

Not long now! :D What are you gonna use for bedding in the brooder? Loads of people say to use pine shavings but others say they can cause respiritory problems?

    First time hatching ducklings

We're nearing day 22 now! The excitement/anxiety is reaching peak point! XD All six eggs are still alive and well and developing right. It looks like the first problem was just me being overly jumpy and paranoid. :) We've settled on the names Daisy (for mum's) and Pumpkin (for mine) and I really...

    First time incubating babby ducks!

I'm keeping mine at about 55% :) Everywhere that I've looked has said that's the best level to work at. Though it's best to keep an eye on the air cell to make sure you're not adding too much or too little :) This is all from what I've heard from other people though.
