I had noted for some time that Doo's ears seemed more prominent than normal pigeons. No apparent problem tho. Then yesterday i saw some of the little 'feathers' in the middle of the ear sticking up in a strange way. A closer look revealed some very tiny dust-like particles which I was going to...
#731 was abandoned by his moms at ~day 11 or 12. For his safety he was removed to indoors and hand fed. Now at day 22 i believe he will soon begin eating on his own and i am thinking about how he can be integrated back to the loft.
I hope someone has had this experience. All suggestions...
The cockbird has abandoned her and is incubating eggs with his first love.
She is sitting so diligently I'm afraid she might hatch them. Could she possibly feed them on her own? Should I replace them with fakes? They have about a week to go. Any thoughts welcome! Thanks.
One of my birds is producing unusually colored droppings, the exact color of the redstone grit. No other signs of illness. I can't find anything online about this... help?

For pigeons in Wisconsin, with wide temperature variations cold to hot, would it be best to place most of the nest boxes and perches along the North side(shaded) or the South side(sunny) of the loft?
