Going to the feed store today to get some more chicks. I'm also going to try and figure out that the other chicken is. She is slightly smaller...

    Laying hen now a roo???!!!

Ok, here are the pictures of my chickens. I'm starting to think maybe I did give away the laying hen. I did find 2 eggs just now. Both very light brown. I thought they were white until I picked them up and looked in the light.

    Laying hen now a roo???!!!

I didn't even think about that. See how helpful you are. I don't know much about chickens, obviously. I thought a large comb meant rooster. I even put store bought eggs in the boxes to try and get them to sit on, but nothing seems to help. I don't know...

She used to have a tiny little comb. After I gave the roos away the egg laying stopped. I thought it was because they she was...

I brought home 5 baby chicks from the store, 4 California whites and one Rhode Island Red. 3 of the whites turned out to be roosters. Big combs, no eggs. I was getting only white eggs for about a week, then I gave all 3 roos to the gardener. Now, my one remaing white hen has a huge comb and no...

My girls started laying, then the boys left, now, no eggs

I'm new to the world of chickens and not very educated about them. My problem is no eggs. I brought 5 chickens home from the feed store right after Easter. Supposedly, they were all hens. 3 turned out to be roosters. I started getting eggs from 1 of the hens about 2 months ago. She layed about 5...

    Question about my Dog

If he's eating more than normal and not gaining weight, he may have worms. Get some wormer at the feed or pet store, give it to him, and then another dose 2 weeks later. If it doesnt' get better, take him to the vet. There are a few varities of worms that you need a prescription wormer for.
