    I have six sebastapol females and two males all together and the oldest male has just started getting aggressive and running at me when out in the field it's because sebastapol geese are early layers from Feb and breed earlier than some geese so guess it's his protective side coming out!

    Hi i had the same problem and used a cuddly toy and hot waterbottle underneath until i managed to hatch a few more playmates out two weeks later now she is a happg gosling and doesnt boither.me at all! She definately needs a companion

    My sebastopol goslings ard now 5 weeks old and starting to feather up, I am very surprised that the one gosling with the black beak and dark back has dark feathers appearing on her back! The parents are both pure bred white sebs how can this be? Any ideas? Thanks

    Thank you , yes im confused about the black beak, the two i hatched last year were both yellow and dark grey saddle shape on their backs and are both laying so obviously female but the different shades from these goslings have thrown me too. I dont know the history of parents as my dayghter...

They are yellow and grey or pale yellow when hatched and your supposef tobe able to tell sex by colour but mine have hatched mixed shades...
