    I am very jealous My girls come for treats but were 18 months old when we got them they were ex battery hens and i agree with everything said chooks make wonderful pets i just love them wish they enjoyed a cuddle as much as I would with them

    one of my hens stopped laying several months ago she is an ex battery girl, however today she layed this rubbery very firm egg like thing it was solid with no discernable differentation of part has any one seen one of these. this evening she seem ok I think

    My hen passes dark watery unpleasant smelling motions eary in the day, these change as the day goes on to firmer "normal" looking motions we have noticed this as she now spends so much more time with us inside with the arrival of a severe winter, is this unusual ??
