Elsa is a Swedish Flower hen, 10 months old. In the morning, her breast area seems normal, but by day's end it looks as though her crop is very distended. See video crop 1 - morning, and video crop 2 - late afternoon. Note in the second video that her crop is unusually large.
The good news is...
Molly is an Olive Egger, 33 weeks old. She reached point of lay at 24 weeks.
When the girls were dust bathing this week, we noticed bald spots under both of Molly's wings (see photo).
We have another hen that is being pecked in the tail area (and we are treating her). So, we right away...

Excellent thought. Girls are not free ranged, so predators do not have access. We have a large run that is secure and a coop that is a fortress. So, I don't think even rats can get into the coop. Thank you!
