I have 2 somewhat broodies, but they will only shuffle the eggs around and hop off the nest, or out of the nest box. I have an incubator as a back- up plan, but it ain't going so smooth either. The humidity won't stay above 35%, and I've already tried putting water in and even wet paper towels...

I recently hatch out some eggs but 2 out of 10 eggs hatched. I gave the chicks to the mum, and she will rear them. Suprisingly I think the mum was a little disappointed in me. They were lakenvelder chicks, and they were so fluffy and small. Sadly on passed away last night so there's only one...

He/She is probably going to make it. Be patient bc I can't tell you that it will hatch or won't, you just have to wait. Chicks can be the most unpredictable thing to hatch(in the egg or out). They could be perfectly growing and the next thing you know they could be dead the next day. :( it's sad...

Sadly IF they hatch which they probably will, they might have a number of birth defects. :( but there is a chance they will hatch and end up just fine with a wobbly start.

Aw! Your chicks are sooooooo cute! I am having some minor complications with my incubator, and my hen hasn't yet incubated the eggs. I am so worried that by the time the incubator is ok for the little eggs , the embryo ' s of the 9 bantam lakenvelder eggs will be dead. If u have any advice plz...

I have a bantam lakenvelder. She is like 20% broody, but I have eggs that depend on her being all the way broody. What in the heck should I do. The eggs are fertile, and about 3 days old. She has 5 currently. :/
