i very desparately need new homes for them. the dog came into the yard while i was inside and got one of them by the neck and left a wound. i dont know the extent of it because hes hiding now, but what i saw didnt seem too bad and hes preening and walking still.

they come inside the house as often as im able to bring them in, but they can get out of their coop on their own so locking them in wouldnt help much anyway(theyre safe, just capable of breaking things) ill try to get a picture in the morning

i think it might be a bit late for that, but ive gone ahead and put some petroleum jelly on both of them just in case. will it hurt them to ingest it though? like, if it comes off in the water or in their feathers and they eat it is it safe?

i think one of my ducks has gotten frostbite on the knob of caruncle that sits above his bill. it hasnt gotten above 20 degrees here in probably the last week, and these two refuse to stay in their house and instead sit on the back porch all day until i bring them inside or until it's bedtime...

at this point im more angry over the fact that someone who should know not to feed animals (especially birds) anything salty or greasy did it and then laughed about it i assumed theyd be okay if it didnt happen often, i just wanted to be sure

my ducks got fed french fries despite the fact that i have repeatedly asked for my pets not to be fed anything that i didn't ok first and im honestly really upset over it will they be okay? is it fine just this once? should i make them throw it up or something????
