When I went to get feed today, I saw a lone duckling in with a bunch of chicks so I HAD to buy it. Now I'm glad I did because my 2 little call babies seem to like him. He just looks so huge next to them.
Just wanted to share a photo of my new butterscotch call duck drake. He arrived to GA this morning from MO. Very excited as he comes from an excellent breeder. My lone butterscotch female can now be paired up.
The Newnan show is usually the biggest poultry show in GA. There will be lots of birds for sale-usually some on the Friday before, but mainly on Saturday. Lots of vendors, raffles and silent auctions. It's free to get in, but if you're going to show, the deadline is (I believe), February 10th...
I recently bought a group of call ducks from someone who decided to no longer raise them. There are some females that I don't have a matching male to breed to. I'm wondering if they can be bred to any of the males I have. I show, so I'm only interested in crosses that would produce already...
If you're interested in showing, the deadline to call in entries is 11/20. I'll post the phone number if anyone wants it. The judging begins at 9:00 am on the 25th. I'm pretty sure this is an all bantam show. I haven't been in a few years, but it always was before.
Is anyone going to the big show in Knoxville in December ? I'll be showing modern game bantams and maybe a few old english and cornish bantams. Also going to show some pigeons for the first time.
Hello,
I live in middle GA and raise old english game bantams, modern game bantams, bantam cornish, and just got a few Belgian Bearded D'Anvers and LF Phoenix. I've been showing for about 6 years and really enjoy talking with others who like to show.
