Hey guys, thanks for the feedback and I finally figured out how to post in the correct area. If you would like, I have a more detailed version that I posted in the meat bird ETC section. Here's the link...

Hi, I am raising Plymouth Barred Rock, Buff Orpington and Black Copper Marans. We have extra roosters from the sexed chicks we have sold. I was wondering what week most of you would recommend butchering the roosters. I was think 19. I saw somewhere else that at 20 weeks they begin slowing down...
Update: I candles the eggs and almost all of the two dozen I am doing are developing great. I turned the heat up to about an average of 101. The humidity reads like 60% but they are developing great, so maybe that's the humidity for this incubator.
I've butchered chickens about 4 different times. Ive been trying different methods. I recemtly have been shooting them in the head with a pellet gun. I would like to get some tips on other ideas of killing the chickens and also on different tips you have on butchering!
Hi, I just ordered an incubator, the temp fluctuates between 99.3F and 100.8F. The humidity fluctuates between 57%-62%. I am doing this to sell organic chicks and to keep some for myself. I woulf like some feedback on incubating since thisbis my first time doing this.
So, I just got an incubator, its digital, and shows temp, turns eggs every other hour, counts days, and humidity. The temp fluctuates between 99.3F-100.8F the humidity seems to fluctuate between 55%-62%. If I were to add eggs, do you think these temps and humidity levels are ideal?
I have a hen that is molting, kind of scrawny and is being picked on. I separated her and would like to find an organic/natural way to help repair feather loss and molting. Comments and advise would be appreciated.
