    Introducing new chickens to flock

    I have some Orpingtons who are 8 weeks old at the moment and I got about 25 more that range 1 week-3 weeks old. Will I have any trouble when putting these other birds in the coop/run with my older birds. I never introduced younger birds into a flock yet

    Newbie to the forum and chickens!

    I'm Travis from a lil town in Louisiana called Arnaudville. I been looking into becoming a little more self sustaining, started with rabbits and a garden. Now on to chickens! But I'm clueless as to what I need haha. I'll be posting in forums so any info and insight is greatly appreciated!

    Coop is currently under construction. It'll be 4'x8' wide and 4' in height. The run is a 12'x12' area the cooonwill sit outside the run to give them more space inside. But the fence will butt up to the coop so nothing can get in. My question is I want dual purpose birds. I was looking at...
