    Mareks/botulism or vitamin B issue?

no new birds no poultry shows....nothing...this morning he is more feisty and was happily eating meal worms with precision. His legs feel cool to the touch and he tried to get up but can't. I am at a loss..... I know Mareks is common but it also is the one thing everyone jumps to when there is...

    Mareks/botulism or vitamin B issue?

So I found one of my roos on the ground this morning, halfway under the coop wall (made from a recycled pallet). I assumed he got stuck and couldn't get out so when his legs were not working I thought trauma/shock. He is about 8 mos old, no injuries and considering he could have been there all...

    The EMERGENCY Thread!!!

I was dosing 1.5 tsp per gal. I stopped completely once we determined we had a sick bird. There is no blood in her poop so could it still be cocci? She seemed to be doing better in the middle of the night. I woke up twice and she was trying to peck at her crumbles. Today we are back to the...

Normal to crazy chicken lady in under 6 mos!

Hi all, this will be quick- I am tired and need to sleep. My name is Beth, I am married, 2 kids (17 and 13) and teach second grade. We recently moved to 5 acres and obtained a not so nice cymani roo from a neighbor. We named him Mr. Focker. ;-) Neighbor also gave us a hen who was getting...

    The EMERGENCY Thread!!!

New here- I have a 7 week old polish who is very ill. We have had her about 3 weeks- the following started 2 days ago: She doesn't want to open her eyes, fluffs feathers, very thin, when she gets up to walk she walks drunk, she is overall very listless and won't really eat on her own. She...
