Alrighty, Daisy is offically gone. Still not sure on a cause of death...but I feel better that I got to see her before she was burried. I don't think she's sick....but who knows!

Big thank you to everyone!
Thanks for your support everyone! I greatly appreciated it
Um..so update on Daisy. My mom just told me that they did not end up burrying the body, they just chucked it into the woods. Gosh..way to lie to me Mom! I know she was just trying to protect me, but still. Anyways, I just found and...
Hi everone!
I've been very lucky with my chickens...minimum injuries and not a single death. Until today. Today, my first chicken, Daisy, died. The first death is always the hardest, isn't it? My girls are like my babies! I love them so much. But, I'm really frustrated with my Mom right...
^^ I just got up too, and we have a TON of snow. It's still snowing with the possibilty of us getting 4 more inches. Good think I covered the run yesterday....which reminds me that I need to go clear it........
Anyways, when I went outside to get the eggs, the girls were looking at me like they...
Weeeel...Rover survived her first two nights! Yahoooo! Tonight I have to turn the light on in the coop because it suppose to be cold. Although she's getting along with the flock, she's not necesarily apart of it. She still hides in the coop and won't go out into the run.
Okay...thanks. Tonight she's in a cage in the coop with a buddy. Daisy hates being confined so a calm chicken friend quited her down. Of course when I went to put the chickens away for the night, she was the first one of the roost...lol.
Haha...thanks for the support! I hope I don't loose any of my girls.....that would be horribel!
Anyways, how should I wrap her foot? I'm such a newbie it hilarious. Not really but yay. I thank all of you for your wonderful help!
I know right? I've made my decision, she's going on the roost tonight. She's out with the other chickens right now.....having some free time out of that horrible cage!
Phewwww...I pretty sure it's not bumble foot but I'll check again. Should I isolate her? Right now she's in the run sitting down. How long will it take for the sprain to heal?
Never mind.......
So tonight, I was going to try putting her up on the roosts with the others. Except now, I have another injured chicken.............grrrrrr
Hi everyone!
Welll......my bad luck is still...here. My 6 month old Barred Rock, Daisy, is limping. This morning, when I went out to feed the girls some scratch, she came hopping out of the coop with the rest of them. I didn't notice her leg at first. Then she started squatting in front of me...
