She had a sweet little boy that looks just like her at midnight. He came head first with no hooves so it was a bit of a struggle, especially being her first kid. But she did it and she is a wonderful mama! Thanks guys!
I know how long a goats pregnancy is, I just don’t know when she was bred. When I bought her, I was told she was due in about three months. We’ve had her over four months now. I think she is very close, maybe tonight or tomorrow. As of today, her ligaments are gone and her udder has filled out...
No babies yet. She was probably bred like the day before we got her haha. We’ve had her 132 days now. Yesterday there was a bit of yellow stuff on the end of one of her teats, and I see her lick them every once in a while. Other than that, no big changes.
I bought this goat on October 20, the guy told me she was due in around three months. Now that we’ve had her just a few days short of four months, we’ve been very anxious for her to kid! I’ve read countless posts about people asking when their goat would kid, but I know every goat is different...
Thanks guys! African and Chinese is what I was looking at too. Looks like my first photo didn't show up so I'll attach it again. Yes she is laying eggs, she is three years old so maybe that has something to do with the size of her knob, I don't know anything about geese yet.
I brought home my first goose today and the lady I purchased her from couldn't remember her breed. After a little research I'm thinking she's a Chinese. I've never had geese but she's a sweetheart, love her already! [/IMG]
I've got three duck eggs in my incubator on day 27. The air cell in one of the eggs has turned really dark, just by looking through the incubator I clearly see it, looks like there is black on the inside of the egg where the air cell is. It's been that way for two days and I can't find any info...

I haven't candled, just shining a light into the incubator I can see the air sac is really dark. No pictures because I don't want to open it. I can try to get one through the lid though.
Went into lockdown last night, today one of the air sacs is dark, almost looks black on the inside. Makes me nervous because just a couple days ago I had a whole egg turn dark like that and start leaking. I took it out before it exploded. This one is just the air sac, when I shine a light in the...
I have a few duck eggs in my incubator that should hatch this weekend. I wanted to see if my chicken eggs were fertile so I could put some in the incubator after the duck eggs. I'm pretty sure they are fertile but always like hearing others opinions. Just cracked this one, is it fertile?
Yeah I think it feels like a chicken egg and is the same color as the other eggs my chickens have laid, but it's so huge that it's just hard for me to tell. Not sure if I should pull it or leave it in the nest
I have two female ducks and two hens that live together, they all started laying on Valentine's Day. We had a male duck until just recently, so the duck eggs should still be fertile. We are going to leave the eggs and see if one of the ducks will go broody. There are four duck eggs in the nest...
Also, I found one of the eggs for the first time yesterday and I was so excited I brought it right inside and we were debating what to do with it since it's probably fertile. We decided to put it back in the nest. I didn't see any other eggs, but I could have missed one. Then this morning there...
I have two female ducks, a buff and a khaki Campbell. We had a buff drake until Sunday, it is now Wednesday. Didn't get any eggs from the girls until the drake was gone, now there are three eggs in a nest. The girls like to lay in there together, but I think they are buff eggs. I would like to...
