Ok! Thank you! She seems to be ok away from them but I'll put her back out and keep her confined! We only free range so I'll have to rig something up for now :)
Yesterday my duck started limping. Today I have confined her to a crate after thoroughly inspecting her feet for bumblefoot. (It was hard because they're black but they looked and felt fine) then I inspected her knees and when I touched her one she pulled it away and made some loud noises. I'm...
I didn't! I'll try that. I got it from my local feed store. I was always told mallards have a toe clipped and all this ones are in tact... I'll post its baby pic too!
my Rouen is about 8-9 weeks old. I tried sexing it and I've never done it but thought I got a female. She has a glimmer of green in her dark spot on her head but other than that is still the brown with just the tad of green on her wing. Is it normal for a female to have a glimmer of green still...
Was told this is a pekin but I know it's probably not. Trying to figure what it could be possibly. I'll post a baby pic and a pic from today. They're probably about 4 weeks old now.

I originally thought that I definitely had two cayugas. Someone has me questioning the big one being a runner maybe. What do you think. These are the older version of the ducks in the original post. They're almost two months old now.
Thank you! I know we can't tell gender I just wish we could. I don't want to end up with too many males because I really do just enjoy them as pets and for eggs! And I'd like to keep them all!
Both my ducklings are getting some feathers in and I'm thinking both are Cayuga! They are supposedly the same age so maybe one male on female because the size difference. The picture is from the smaller of the two. The bigger one isn't as noticeably "green"
Thank you! They little is all black for sure. Maybe a tad lighter in the chest. And I'm really hoping the bigger is Cayuga! It's black also with a yellow belly.
Hey guys. Just got these babies a little more than a week ago. Any idea on what they could be. The guy at the feed store guessed Cayuga for the yellow bellied and wasn't sure on the little black one. They are the same age!
