This is Miss Pearl, the one I'm not sure of. Her comb is more developed but she's also bigger so maybe she's just a couple days older? We'll have to see how it develops. I think it's too early to say, just in comparison to the other two, it looks more defined.
Just got three EE chicks to add to my flock. :) I'm hoping all are pullets...but you know how that goes. One is definitely more aggressive than the others, so hoping that doesn't mean anything. They are only about 3 weeks old. They've changed so much just in the two weeks I've had them. It's a...
I have a light Brahma rooster. He' about 6-7 months old. He started a slight limp about 2 months ago but it wasn' too noticeable and we couldn' find a cause. His limp has gotten worse the last couple weeks and today I was able to get a pic of his leg. Any suggestions? He was an accidental...
hmm, I'm no expert either. ha ha. Kemical Fenix, what about her makes you think so?
I'll have to look up some more pics of chicks her age. Anyone else think she looks funny?
Here is a current pic of Blue. 6 weeks old. Thoughts on gender? Her crest is more red than the others but she's my only light brahma so I have no comparison...

I just started my backyard flock. I have 8 chicks who are about 6 weeks old. We got this pre-fab coop from TSC. I think two of my girls may be boys, so that will bring me down to six...but time will tell on them. This is a decent beginner coop, especially for a residential area where you...
Hi all. I just started my very first backyard flock here in Germantown. That's just west of Dayton. I have 8 pullets that are about 6 weeks old. (keeping an eye on 2 of them as I suspect they may be cockerels). I'm not certain if there is any local law about roosters, but we want to be good...
Hi all. I just started my first backyard flock on saturday. We got a SLW who is definitely not show quality, but that's okay with me. I am wondering about her pink comb though and worried that she could be a cockerel. We live in town, so definitely can't have a roo. Can I get some opinions...
Hello! I just started my first flock this weekend. :) Here are some picks of my Dark and Light Brahmas. I'm concerned that the Light might be a cockerel. But, I'm going to hold out hope since we live in town and can't have a roo.
They are both 6 weeks old. The Dark on is named Pajama and...
This is biscuit. :) She is about 6 weeks old. We picked up her and 7 other pullets on Saturday. (well, we think they are all pullets) She is my favorite. I love the Buff Orpingtons! I can't wait for her to grow up big and beautiful.
