This system looks great. But I have a question.I let my chickens free range most days, but they do make a mess of my garden/ yard ( I fence in my serious garden) and they have a very large coop. But would this be an adequate substitute for laying pellets?

It doesnt sound like you can get a rooster ( neighbors) but i have found chickens are much happier when w strutting rooster is around

thank you-thats a good idea, but they have been mingling for a while now- I think it will be ok. She was sitting on her fake eggs today and the pullets were all at the chicken house door- so that seems positive. thanks so glad I joined this great site.
