Someone asked about the old car in one of my pics of natural eggs in photo contest . Besides the story in the thread ........ the engine was built out of old tin cans , wheels & seat from an old tractor ......hubby welded all the parts we found in the property 17 years ago into yard art...

The girls just started laying in the last month or so , all hatched about mid August 2020 ......have one gal who seems to think she’s a duck ! The eggs are huge & mostly double yolks !! lays about every other day 🤷‍♀️ I’m such A proud mama lol I also have a couple RIR who lay quail sized eggs lol

I am terrible with remembering what kind of chicks I “supposedly “ purchased at TSC & Rural kind last summer 🤷‍♀️ this is “maybelline “ any guesses?

Just out of curiosity I had her squat & saw a little blood on vent area (nobody seems to have noticed or pecked at her ) I was going to clean it up with a warm rag & put some vetricyn (sp?) on it . Any other suggestions ?

Looks like from earlier today .....not a feather anywhere in the vicinity ..... Not one of my flock , but we live in the country and everyone has chickens ....but it’s BODY is pretty close to where my coop is ....

Neighbor ordered 40 barred rock Chicks in the mail , upon arrival 39 dead 😢 I now have “Una” and she seems in good shape . Have lamp,water & chick starter for her . I think she needs a friend ? heading out to Tractor Supply this am .....

Hi I'm Tashua Had chickens and horses as a kid and am finally going to be able to get the h*ll outta the big city again in a year .....have been researching breeds , chicken tractors to build all sorts of things and can't wait to get at it again. Will be in north Florida . Plenty of hawks ,fox...
