It seems funny capable of taking care of itself, it just has a unique way of being mobile. I only have 2 chicks, so I'd really prefer to not have it culled.
I don't remember it hatching that way, but a couple days after I noticed it. The file is too large for me to post. It largely just hops around on one leg fluttering it's wings for balance.
My chicks legs has been funky for about a week now. I've tried hobbling, cups, both, and nothing has helped. I didn't think the leg was broken, but today there's no resistance in the twisted. It doesn't seem to be causing pain, but I'm at my wits end for what to do to help. The tibia to the hock...
So, my chick has splayed leg on one leg, I tried the advice of hobbling the legs, but the new problem is it literally can't move and keeps it's legs 100% straight, resulting in its being stuck on its belly. Did I do something wrong? Is that normal and I just need to let if figure out how to stand?
My poor little chick isn't doing well. It's extremely lethargic, and kind of rolls/ twirl on its right side only. It's been drinking, but I'm not sure how much food it's gotten. I'm not sure how to help it :/
I'm currently raising some quail. They hatched a few days ago, but now one is acting oddly. Very lethargic, and favoring it's right side. It spends a lot of time calling and "twirling" around, and will eventually lay on its right side or back. I'm not sure what's wrong.
