I live in Kent, WA and I raise ornamental pheasants, peacocks, quail, ducks and chickens. I'm always looking to incubate eggs, trade birds, buye birds and just talk birds. look me up on facebook under ornimental pheasants (I know its spelled wrong but thier is a joke behind that) Write now I'm...
I live in Covington in between Kent and Black Diamond and I raise chickens, pheasants, quail, and peacocks. I have two incubators that run 7 days a week year round so I allways have something hatching out. You can almost always find me at the Sales Pavilion on Saturdays selling and bying eggs...
I have two Brensia incubators 190 series and I have found them to be on the spot for both humidity and temp. I have had an excellent sucess rate with chickens, pheasants and quail. I just got my self two sets of Indian blues and a nice breading trio of all white peacocks. I have never incubated...
I raise ornimental pheasants and three times now this year I have had a pheasant that has puffy eye, runny nostral and crusting around the eye and nostral. I was told its a respiratory infection but have not been told on how you can cure it. I normally isolate the birds and apply an animal...
use unsalted peanuts as a treat and he will slowly be your best friend, I have tamed Reeves this way. besides all pheasants love peanuts so its a great trat for them
I have the Rcom Pro and its and exellent incubator and now I'm looking fo a larger incubator and I'm looking at the Brinsea 190 or 380 (I would love to hear back from anyone who knows something about these incbators)
thats funny I would never have known that by watching my little guys. Then again I was told how aggressive Reeves are but my male is so timid he eats peanuts out of your hand. granted by looking at his spurs I would not want him to come after me. I was thinking of seperating my ring neck chicks...
I'm slowly moving up in the world of hatching eggs from my Rcom incubator (witch is great and an excellent product) to now looking into a Brinsea Ova Easy 380 Advanced EX NEW Cabinet Incubator. So has anyone used this model or the smaller version of it and what do you think?
I just hatched out a dozen baby Reeves along with a bunch of ring necks (all hatched at the same time) my question is; are Reeves normaly lees active as other pheasant chicks? my guys just like to take life in the slow lane as my ring nicks seems to be in the fast lane one set bounces off the...
I candale my ring neck eggs on day 10 and I bought a $16.00 egg candale on line from some hatchery supplier (not sure witch one off hand its been awhile) but I have no problem with it and my eggs our an olive green. It also works fine with my Reeves eggs, Red Golden, Lady Amhersts, and Impeyan...
All of my pheasants have been laying eggs for at least a month + now with the exception of my LadyAmherst and all of my pheasant pens are next to each other so they get the same amount of light and they all are the same age so why are my Amhersts not laying?
Ringneck = a more greenish egg and a RedGolden = a more pinkish egg and a Reevs will lay a grey/tan egg I'm not sure about the LadyAmherst as mine have not started laying yet witch is strange because all my others have and they all are located in the same area just differant pens
sorry the red golden is no longer with us, but she had two swollen eyes and a large bump on the back of her head and was missing feathers and slighty bleading before she died
