Thanks for responding
No neither girl has had any respiratory issues. I have been looking and have not found anything that sounds like what I saw. Poor chickie
My two girls are 4 years old and last week my ameraucana laid a soft shelled egg on my patio chair that had “stuff” hanging out of it. I carefully took the egg in to take it apart.
The Shell was soft and inside the shell was a clear fluid. The next layer was a membrane that surrounded this thing...
Update: After a week and a half of oil and crop massages, my Sally finally got out what caused her impacted crop. I am not sure how this got through her, but it was underneath her this morning. The long poop was rolled tight and fairly hard to break up.
My lesson has been learned.. no more hay...
It looks like we are on the right track! Lots of coconut oil, crop massage and some warm baths. I put Sally in a large dog crate for the approx three hours from leaving after lunch until I returned with just water and a mix of crumbles, coconut oil (mostly in the solid form) and a few mealy...

Would love to see lots of poop in their area as long as little Sally contributes!!
Thanks chickens really!

Her crop isn’t totally full...there is a mass lower down near the bottom of her chest this morning that I massaged.. above it there is a round lump about halfway up the front feels like a bone..
There isn’t a lot of swelling between her legs that I can feel..and no swelling at the vent area...
My two girls both finished their molt and one has laid about 5 eggs so far. The other is the one I am worried about. She hasn’t been pooping much and is not really eating. I have given her baths the past couple of days thinking she might have an egg stuck. After blow drying I have used a q-tip...
