I am a little confused about why there are 2 reply buttons.....just want to make sure that you got my last message. Yes! The Mille Fleur colored ones are fine. My little hen just needs a mate!
I didn't know there was a normal Pyncheon, but I assume by that you mean the more golden brown ones. I can't find Pyncheons no matter what they look like, unless I want 30 chicks from Privett. I have a hen from last year when someone forced 10 on me without me knowing what they were......they...
Could use an update on this thread or the ones that are similar. My favorite Serama Roo came down with a very similar issue.....looks like all the posts of the silkie, etc... He is very small (< 1 lb. )and his ear is the size of an olive....huge for him! When I first noticed it 3 days ago, I...
Thank you for the kind words. It really does surprise me that she was sick and managed to survive for so long...
Interestingly, I did not mention that a definitive change came over her after a friend gave her a Reiki Treatment the afternoon before ....She breathed deeply at that point, but was...
Just writing to report that my little girl passed away in my arms tonight....in the end, I don't think anyone knew what was going on for her...one expert never came through with a promise to send a supplement that would help, and the vet ended up discovering that she did have a bacterial...

I like the suggestion to keep her in low light....it certainly can't hurt (and is easily done since we are still getting snow in these parts!) Today, she has put on some weight and pooping up a storm...all looks normal. I do have Poultry Cell, and I feed organic...but fermenting it would be a...
The best part about this thread is the brainstorming from other folks that mirrors my own and allows me to revisit some of my thinking when I am too close to it to notice.....
That being said, I do not think it is Marek's disease. I have reviewed every symptom on multiple sites, and she just...
You know that brings me to a question....do you think one 3-month course of the hormonal implant could give her significant recovery time to heal enough to make it not happen every time she releases a yolk? If that is a possibility, it may be money well spent at least the first time anyway.....
Well, thank you for that.....I certainly wanted to make sure she was healthy enough to undergo surgery first....she has gained some weight and is much better....just not all the way there.... I want to be sure I do all that I can for her without overdoing it....and that has been a balancing act...
