    Tick on chicken

I just found a tick on the back of one of my chicken's head where she wouldn't be able to reach. It was a regular tick, not a fowl tick. I am concerned that she may get an infection. Any suggestions on how to treat for this or what I should lookout for? Many thanks

Can I mix TS chicks with my home hatch?

I had only one chick hatch. I feel it is lonely and would like to know if I can safely mix in TS chicks. I am feeding medicated feed and heard that TS chick are 'vaccinated' and it is not good to feed them medicated feed. Any info is appreciated. Blessings, Jenn

Is it normal for a chick to not be able to get it's head in an up-right position?

I am using a ceramic bulb. Yes in the brooder. I did sprinkle a little crumble down so she has pecked at it, but she's just playing. Not really eating yet. Thank you for the advice. I will go to TS and find Poultry Nutri Drench.

Is it normal for a chick to not be able to get it's head in an up-right position?

It pooped once after it hatched and after I had to cleaned it's vent. Hasn't pooped again, but hasn't really started eating/drinking much. Should I be concerned about this?

It's dry. 9 hrs out of the egg. Sleeping a lot. Not super fluffy. I have tried to gently fluff the feathers.

Is it normal for a chick to not be able to get it's head in an up-right position?

But it's like it can't get past a certain point. When I try to gently help it into an up-right position, it seems to reject that, seems to feel uncomfortable sort of.

Is it normal for a chick to not be able to get it's head in an up-right position?

New chick mum here. One and only hatched today and it doesn't seem to be able to get it's head all the way up to a normal position. Wry neck? Or could it just be that hatching was very labored(It got stuck/shrink wrapped and I had to assist plus it was a very small egg)? Is there a chance it...

How long until chick holds head up?

Hello, new chicken mama here. My first hatch. Only one chick hatched. It seems to be having some trouble holding its head up. Maybe a little bent in the neck. Otherwise seems fairly healthy. Still wobbly, but is standing, chirping sweetly, and starting to try to preen and peck. Could be wry neck...

SO sorry to hear this! My first hatch and only chick has green gunk on it's bottom! So I should wait until chick is dry? Should I clean it? I desperately do not want chick to die.
