Can anyone opine as to this lady's comb? I'm hoping it's just dry because she and her Black Star sister are in their first adult molt at 8-9 months. Early age for a molt it seems, but they started laying quite early too.
Thanks in advance!
Hi all, I'm in Rehoboth MA, recently hopped the border from Cranston. Hoping to find someone interested in these gorgeous blue amerucana cockerels, 16 weeks old. I can't keep all the cockerels I ended up with and would like to see these guys go to a nice home as they are handsome and nice guys.
I have two gorgeous blue amerucana cockerels in need of rehoming as my small flock ended up with three! Non aggressive and nice birds. Located in South coast Massachusetts
Can anybody opine on this poop, normal shedding or bloody and to be concerned about? 12 week chicks. Were on medicated feed until about 8 weeks. Thank you in advance!
I posted a few weeks ago with my EE and a swollen eye which receded and recently reappeared along with swollen eyes on two other Ameraucanas. I have heard one sneeze in like three days, have been watching closely for pus and eye bubbles, rattling or stinky breath, nasal discharge, and have come...
Hi all, I noticed one of my EE s eyes is swollen. She is otherwise eating/foraging per usual. Not scratching at it that I've seen, or head shaking/sneezing. No apparent discharge. All other chicks appear normal. Hopeful it's just an errant peck? Thanks in advance normal eye:
I have two supposedly true blue Ameraucanas, my guess/hope is one roo, one pullet (chick 2?). They're approx 8.5 weeks and both pink three row pea combs but one is redder and taller than the other.
Chick 2 also just got a few red shoulder feathers?? Would appreciate any guesses/tips!
Chick 1...
Here's the usual suspects with an eight and a half week update. Any further thoughts on gender?
I'm pretty sure pic 2 is a roo, as well as pic 3 Hoping pics 1, 5 (who is on right in pic 4) are pullets.
1. 2. 3. 4. 5 ?
Thanks for the input! Your guesses are similar to mine. The two lavender Ameraucanas are very similar looking. I hope they're not both roos.
As for 'lean' do you think they're too skinny?

Hi! New chicken lady and to the site. Such great info! Looking for opinions on gender for my 6 chooks, 2 EE, 2 ameraucana, 2 BLRWs. Any thoughts would be appreciated as I'm excited to learn the tricks and tips. Thanks!
