Lockdown! How high is too high on the humidity???

I hope I have the same experience. I added water before I left for work on day 16. My quail eggs started moving. When I got home from work, humidity got to 80%. Now they aren’t moving. Maybe they’re tired. I don’t know. This is my first time.

What you said makes perfect sense! And I didn’t even think about how temperature affects the humidity. It’s been kinda tough keeping the humidity constant, as if something is soaking up the moisture relatively quickly. So if I’m having a hard time now, it’ll be harder with temperature...

So.... I read that on day 15 I should reduce the temperature and increase the humidity because it’s about this time that my quail eggs should be pipping. Do I wait for movement/pecking and then turn down the heat or do I anticipate my quail eggs will pip and I should just make temperature and...

Incubator off all night! Eggs cold! Are they ok?? Yes!! My story to help others

I hope your experience is my experience. I had my quail eggs in the incubator and no one had any idea when it got turned off of who turned it off. But the temperature is in the high 80s. I turned it back on, checked the humidity, and now sit worried. I'm so close to the pipping, then this...

    Eye worm remedies

Yes, the vet told me how to get rid of the eye worms. I was looking more for eye worm prevention. But after reading the advice of others, seeing it is a roach problem, I think ensuring the area is clean and perhaps taking the birds off the ground might be necessary.

    Eye worm remedies

i found out from the vet that my pet quail has worms in her eye! Tiny little worms. When I was young I used to take garlic pills and eat the heads of matches to prevent ticks from burrowing in my skin. Is there something that my clouds can eat that will prevent worms from growing in their eyes?

What to do? Pecked quail hen

Why do you think this happens? I have 3 females and 1 male in a 8’x2’x1.5’ cage on the grass. So I don’t think it’s a male to female ratio or space issue. I saw the male pecking the eye of one female. None of the other females are wounded. It’s like he’s targarting one specific bird. I...

    Foot problems?

I read in a book that I bought from Amazon that quails can develop problems in their feet if they stay on the grass. I am not quite sure why quails would have problems with their feet if they stay on the grass and the book does it say what kind of problems. Does anyone have experience with this?
