Small birds can get through poultry wire?

We used garden mesh in our coop. I'm not really sure if that's the right name. I think it's used to keep birds and other pesky animals off of gardens. But its basically plastic mesh/net (black or green) that comes in a roll from basically any farm supply store. It is much smaller and we just...

    Abandoned chick. Need breed info!

I guess I hadn't noticed but the little feathers that were on her legs aren't there now. They change every single day it's hard to notice all the details.

    FOUND an orphaned Chick! Help!

The hen isn't currently broody. She went broody about a month ago for two weeks(ish) and then started having serious anxiety attacks when my bigger chickens came near her (i think they are bullies) so we separated her. She hasn't laid an egg since she went broody.

    FOUND an orphaned Chick! Help!

Replying to "EE maybe? That would be my guess and yes about wk and half. Hen I’m guessing but not right often lol. Lovely little one" If it's an EE my kids will die. They have been begging for one since Easter. Wouldn't that be destiny? (Which is also my vote on a name for the little booger...

    FOUND an orphaned Chick! Help!

My daughter found a tiny orphaned baby chick on her school grounds (definitely chicken or turkey although I wouldn't know how to ID it for sure). Of course we brought it home. We have it in a broader under a heat lamp with a stuffed animal to keep it "company" and plan to introduce it...
