Bit by something cleaning the coop! HELP!

A leech?! I don’t live near water... I live in northeastern PA (poconos area). My property layout is 1.5 acres that backs up to a Christmas tree farm. I have 3 maple trees, 1 near the coop. And the coop is about 10 yards from the Christmas trees. Do you really think I have leeches here??

    Stick tight Fleas... HELP!!!!!!

I’m hoping it’s gravel! I can’t get the pieces off of them! They seem to be stuck in her skin and since she’s broody she is very moody so I have to wait till she’s sleeping to try to get them off with tweezers. I know it’s bothering her because she actually let me rub them the other day with my...

    Stick tight Fleas... HELP!!!!!!

Update: I cleaned out the entire coop top to bottom using a vinegar solution and water. I shoveled the top of the soil in the run out and sprayed the nematodes. I sprayed most of the coop down with permethrin (inside and outside) and the nesting boxes down with pro manna poultry spray. Once...

Hello, I have a sticktight flea problem right now and I just dusted my entire coop with the DE. It seemed to dry them out completely. Now my chickens only have dead fleas on them. I just sprinkled the DE on the floor making sure not to miss any spots and the same with the rest of the coop. I...

    Stick tight Fleas... HELP!!!!!!

It definitely isn’t dried blood. I would think it was dirt but it doesn’t come off it’s almost stuck inside her skin... hence why I thought stick tight fleas. I cannot find another picture as close up as mine are that I can compare the two. In the one, it almost appears that one of these bumps...

    Stick tight Fleas... HELP!!!!!!

This is the only picture I was able to get last night. It is not clear because I had a flashlight shining on the “fleas” but if you look down near her cheek you can see them, they look grayish in color because of the reflection of the flashlight... as well as the two black spots near her eye.

    Broody Hen - Pale Waddles

I went up last night to check for mites, I only saw what I believe might be mites scurrying on the coop itself but nothing on my flock. My biggest concern is my broody chicken, President Lincoln, because she seems to be the itchiest. She has dry skin but I could not find lice eggs or actual...
