I think a raffle. Say, 1 ticket for $2 or 3/tickets for $5; by selling only 250 ticket you could raise a max of $500 or a very min of $417 (@3/$5 you would sell 249 tickets for $415 + 1 ticket for $2 = $417. The more single tickets @$2, the higher the $$ to a max of $500) AND you could sell...
I made tooled belts, buckles and wallets back in the 1970's. I was never as skilled as you. Still have my tools and patterns. Last year I pulled them out and made a saddle horn cover for a child's saddle for granddaughter. The saddle horn had been chewed by a dog and looked very rough with...
Last report I saw for us was 6" snow and sleet mixed. Made some snow ice cream for the grandkids, but they didn't like the grainy texture. Told them that was the kind of ice cream we had when I was their age. DGS looked like I'd taken leave of my senses. Asked me, "Do you really like this?" LOL
I love sending Christmas cards. I usually hand make Christmas cards. Was really disappointed as I addressed the "purchased" ones this year. To me they just don't indicate the spirit of the season like my handmade ones do.

Here it would have to be dog/cat/chicken/possum food The possums keep coming on the deck to eat out of the cat food and I trap them and take them to the woods and ...wonder if it's the same ones making their way back to my deck. The cats eat out of the dog dishes and the dogs eat out...
mjd - those benches look great. Do a bunch of them and then either sell yourself/or wholesale to a vendor at the big flea market there at/near Houston. (Friends living in that area are always showing me things they found there.)
Fall is my favorite also. Especially October, when it starts getting cool enough at night to be nippy and sometimes cool enough here during the day to forego air conditioning the kitchen while preparing meals. Crazyhen, that picture is georgeous.
Well, my first car was three years younger than me - a '49 Dodge coupe. Not too pretty; certainly not in the category with the pony cars of the 60s. You've got a great car as you know. Friend ( in '66) had a '64 1/2 mustang, red, gorgeous...brings back memories! LOL

OMG! LOL Me too. Am soooo frustrated! Chihuahua three years ago was a breeze (almost) and a male, which I though was harder to train. This little girl (Shi Tzu) has me pulling my hair out. Harnessing her to me just means we leave a trail all the way to her pad when I pick her up...
CM, got mine today too! Thank you for doing all the hard work on this swap. DGS & DGD both wanted to know if that was their "blankets" in the package. Looks like these blocks will get used before the ones from the last swap I did.
To the OP, if you ordered from Ideal, they will credit you (or reship replacement chicks) for the DOAs They are a very nice hatchery. Great people to deal with. Probably all the hatcheries have this policy; I've only ordered from Ideal and was very satisfied with their service. We had...
Gritsar, not meaning to hijack your thread.......but, NGT ANGL, they're not kidding about the dangers of having sleep apnea and not using the CPAP. I worked with a young woman (mid 20's in age) who was diagnosed, got the machine, but then didn"t use it. She lay down one afternoon to take a...
To Hattie the Hen, Oh, no you don't have a problem! As Kim_NC says, you are our hero!
This thread prompted me to count how many in my shelves right now - 196 - about half of which are produced by church, civic and school groups. Have several boxes in storage (long story...) so am not sure of...
Many years ago, I had a boss who would say, "Shostakovich!" and the amount of emphasis he put on the name indicated how very irritated he was. (Shostakovich was a Russian composer, who died in 1975. Boss was very upset when Mr. S died, said he'd have to find a new swear word; felt it...
