Tom tripping over his own feet

My Tom is about 5 years old. He’s a bourbon. He can stand but if he takes a step, he starts flapping his wings for balance. His legs and feet look fine. Mechanically, when he does walk, he steps on his own feet and loses his balance. Any ideas on what is going on??? And what to do for him?

Chicken eye pecked out. What do I do?

It’s been about 2 weeks since it happened. It was covered in white pus but looked ok otherwise. So I thought it could heal on its own. Not so sure now. It’s still covered with white crust and it looks swollen tonight. Any advice? I can’t take it to a vet bc I’m in quarantine right now.

    Cleaning coop with water?

Coop is maybe 10 years old, I’ve been here for a year. It’s full of cobwebs, dust, etc. Hubby wants me to take a hose to it and some vinegar. We have 10 hens and a rooster. What are your thoughts? Should I? Or is sweeping it out 1-3 x per week enough?

    Weak baby chick

We had to do our first assist today. 24 hours of no progress after first pip. 2 others hatched in this time. This chick is tiny, weak, laying around and not eating or drinking. It will walk some (fall over), chirp, lift it’s head. I read about sugar water drops and it took some. How often do...

    Is it a rooster?

my husband and I had success (along with some loss and learning) hatching 8 chicks last summer. 3 of the chicks look like roosters. I have no desire to look up a vent to check, so I thought I would post a pic and take a poll. Is this a rooster or a hen?

Cluck had surgery Wednesday. Changed dressing Friday and will again today. He’s still not walking. He will stand for a few seconds and plop back down. Yesterday, the swelling looked like it was returning. Should I soak him in Epsom salt? Is it ok to do that with open wound? Poor guy. I just...
