does anyone know the gram weight for small medium large jumbo eggs?
my hens are laying some that dont seem to be as heavy as the store bought ones
smaller too (pullet-size eggs) so i am thinking they would be around a medium egg...
just want to know so when i bake w/ them i can adjust the recipe...
this bird is throwing me for a loop...some days i think pullet other days i think roo....
s/he is approximately 18 weeks old give or take a week

i have some friends who think they may be wanting to start w/ chixn....
i would like some input on whether to start w/ babies....which is my suggestion
but DH says POL...just cut the cost of feeding babies...

in about 10 days DH and I will be doing our first processing...
i have looked and looked and read and read...so i think we are all ready to go...
someone said that processing ducks was a little different than chickens however all i have found is to put soap in the scald water which needs to be...

help...i havent a clue what this is...white from the beginning...not even a hint of yellow fuzz...her legs are the same color as the comb...kinda a fleshy pinkish/peachy color...any clues?

i am using chicken wire on my day-time chicken tractor....dh and i have figured out how to get it nice and flat and tight...but we cant figure out how to cut it at the end ...umm...how to explain better
