I felt all around her crop and abdomen and didn’t feel any bloat or swelling. I didn’t feel inside the vent, just all around it in the outsides and didn’t feel anything. She has not started laying yet that I know of. I put some vet rx on her Incase it’s respiratory but I didn’t hear any weird...
I just looked all over her and couldn’t find any mites or lice or any sign of bugs on her. Right now her mouth is now closed but she’s almost kind of laying on her side to sleep, she won’t get on the roost. When I looked for bugs around the vent, I did notice it was almost wet looking.
It was hot (about 92) on Tuesday when this started but Wednesday Thursday Friday it was in the 70s. Saturday and Sunday 80s. I did think she was hot on Tuesday when it was 92 which is why I figured giving her electrolytes wouldn’t hurt but the weird behavior has continued even on these cooler days.
I will try to do this tonight...I have checked for lice and mites during the daytime but didn't see anything.

At first I thought she was just hot but I figured she would leave the coop if she were hot. They like to go in our shaded woods where it’s much cooler. It was 92 the first day I noticed her but the past 3 days it’s only been in the 70s.
I have a hen that is about 7-8 months old that just isn’t acting normal. On Tuesday I noticed she was breathing through her mouth and her wings were lowered and butt kind of sticking up in the air. I gave her some electrolytes and probiotics and she seemed to be peeking up. She was no longer...
I’ve got 3 chickens that were supposed to be barnevelder pullets when we bought them. I’m thinking they may be welsummer Roos. Is anyone able to tell these two breeds apart? I will attach pics. Pretty positive number 1 is a rooster but I’m new to this so I’m curious about 2 and 3. Definitely...
