Brown stuff lining my weak hens beak?

Some more things: She wants to drink water but the mucus is stopping her from doing so. She’s also a 3 year old buff orpington.

Brown stuff lining my weak hens beak?

I don’t have photos because I took it off immediately, but there was this weird brown stuff that was also lined with something clearish that was lining my hens beak. I noticed she seems to have a lot of mucus, is weaker, and slower as well. I’m more worried about the mucus because that’s...

Rescued wild roo's, they ended up being Gamecocks

My mom's friend used to be a vet, specifically she was really helpful with birds, and she owns a lot of chickens herself. I trust her, but also I can't send photos anyway lol, not right now at least. We have nobody around us who has chickens (and they're at an age where they crow so I was...

Rescued wild roo's, they ended up being Gamecocks

I don't know if this is the right forum but they'll kill each other soon so perhaps it counts. One day I found two roosters wandering around on my land and I didn't want them to be killed by predators or fly into the backyard while my dogs were in there, so I catched them. I had to put them with...

    My ducks aren't eating.

I just got two eight week old ducks and I don't think they've eaten any of the food I've given them, only bell peppers. I'm really worried and I don't know how to make them eat. They're in a small pen with no plants as well (I'm going to move them, they're just not big enough for the Drake right...

How do I feed my now blind pullet?

A terrible accident happened today involving a pullet, I don't know how old she is but at least a few months. At least one eye is gone, and she won't open either eyelids so I don't know about the other, but basically, I don't know how to feed her. She's probably in pain, she's just been sleeping...

Will rinsing my chicks' eyes with saline help clear their sinuses?

Breathing problems is the focus of it right now. They're breathing can get really nasally, sometimes faster than normal. They are around a month old, a little more or less. They're in a cage with pine (medium) shavings, always clean water, some medicated chick starter, and a stuffed animal. They...

Will rinsing my chicks' eyes with saline help clear their sinuses?

I heard recently that putting some saline solution on/in their eyes can help clear their sinuses. Is this true? And are there any other ways I can help them breathe better?

My pullet is dying, what do I do?

She passed. Thank you to everyone who said something and tried to help :hugs, if I ever encounter a chick like this again, I will know what the symptoms are and I will completely separate them from the flock, just to be safe.

My pullet is dying, what do I do?

It's not exactly my choice to make whether or not my chicks get that. My mom has talked to a vet and we should be getting something that is apparently going to help. I will still try my best to get the Corid still. About the syringe thing, yes, that was my worry. I won't do that. I'll just be...

My pullet is dying, what do I do?

I can try. Her poop seemed a little dry, otherwise, quite normal. I will say right now she was unresponsive to the liquid food, just shaked her head when it got in her mouth. I gave her some water and she shaked her head, but would sometimes accept it. She's becoming less responsive and more...

My pullet is dying, what do I do?

She is kept warm. Sometimes she will get up and eat but it's not lots. I have her drink small bits of sugar water (about a 1/4 tsp in 1 1/2 cups of water) when the other chicks are up. I will do what you suggested. Also, will garlic water and plain yogurt help too? Thank you!

    EMERGENCY! SEIZURE IN PULLET

She's between 1-2 weeks. She drank water just now, she's in a bit better state. The second photo is what she's been like after everything happened. The first wasn't a picture of when she was having seizures, but it's very similar to what she looked like when I saw her before/during she had the...

My pullet is dying, what do I do?

UPDATE: She has passed away most likely due to suffocation (another chicken was on her). Feel free to continue this conversation for future reference. We used 4cc per quart for sick chickens and 2cc per quart for the others of Denagard 12.5% with a 1/2 teaspoon of honey because the meds don't...
