For silkies, I’m still awful at guessing but I tend to go off of body shape more than comb color. You may want to take a picture of them standing naturally.

Thank you! Actually makes me exceedingly happy. We originally thought pullet, so we’ve been searching for a cockerel in our area with absolutely no luck. This little one will do awesome with our pullets.

Is this a fella or a lady? I was assuming it was a boy. However, it has not interest in breeding to anything. It’s constantly chased by our other roo but doesn’t submit to breed when it’s hopped on. There’s no crow and no egg. If I need better pics, please let me know.

Hi, This little birdie is coming up on 4 months old. I was fairly certain on gender until a few weeks ago. Now, I am doubting myself because of new coloring popping up and the feathers. I can’t tell if they truly have a pointy end or if they’re just slicked. Help please

They’re supposed to be willow green. Most breeders I have talked to have struggled to get that color due to so few birds being available to breed. My three have the super pale legs that are common in the few birds that are out there.
