    first bator experience

We have our first bator, a foam forced air. This is really exciting to our kids so I don't want to screw up. We have the temp at right at 96 to 98. With a glass bowl of water for humidity. They were set on Friday at right about 4. We're turning them at 7 am 4 pm and 11 pm. Any suggestions of...

    night terrors!

So far so good for me and Bub. The baby on the other hand has been in my room the last two nights. She keeps saying bad dog. The dog sleeps in the boys room. *shrugs* like they ever make sense.

    night terrors!

I know mine happen for several reasons that I really have no control over. One is exhaustion (mother to 4 young babies and a husband that has health issues) which is also tied to the second which is stress. And hormones some of my worst have been while pregnant or that certain moon phase. But I...

    night terrors!

I am 25 years old and still have episodes (like tonight) of these horrid vivid night terrors. I wake up moving and screaming. Its a genetically passed deep sleep issue. My dad who is 47 still has episodes too. And I so kindly passed it to my oldest and youngest, aren't I wonderful. Does anyone...

She's been in with other banties they were twice her size and really big bullies. So I put her back with her original brooder mates the goslings they treat her nicely. I honestly do not know how she's still alive she is so tiny she squeezes out of every crack my five year old stepped on her head...

    problems with OEG bantam

She's my 7 yr olds only chick and I am ready to give her away to someone who knows what they're doing. I have tried to keep her with other chicks her age but she's so tiny she got bullied, so I moved her back in with the goslings. She gets cold with the heat lamp cause she won't stay under it...

Well they have names. Umm no laughing. One is tinkerbell and the other is Princess kitty. Our five year old was being so good before I could change the water she was and pulling grass into small pieces for treats (we explained that naturally they bite small pieces off and long pieces were bad...

How can you tell if your goose is too thin?

If it can't waddle its to thin. Have you tried some chopped greens. My babies love sugar snapped peas, kale, and brochili(sp). I leave the broc on stem they love pulling the tops off.
